These fees can vary depending on the type of case, the lawyer's experience and the complexity of the legal issue. Fees are an essential aspect of choosing the right lawyer for your case.

It is important to note that attorney fees in the Netherlands are not regulated by law. This means that law firms have the freedom to set their rates based on their own policies. As a result, rates can vary greatly between different law firms and even between different lawyers within the same firm.

Fees can be calculated in various ways, such as hourly rates, flat fees, or a combination of both. The most common fee model is the hourly rate, in which attorneys charge a fixed amount per hour for their services. However, this fee model can lead to significant costs, especially in complex cases.

Funded legal aid (addition)

Insolvency lawyer or pro bono lawyer

At Law Office Der Bedrosian, we strive to make justice accessible to everyone, even if someone is unable to pay a lawyer's fees. That is why we offer legal assistance on a subsidized legal aid basis, also known as an "inability lawyer" or "pro bono lawyer.

At the first meeting, the lawyer will assess with you whether you qualify for this subsidized legal aid. If that seems to be the case, the lawyer will submit an application for financial support to the Legal Aid Board (RvR).

The CoR will then assess whether you are entitled to financial assistance, or an "addition. If so, the government will cover part of the lawyer's costs. However, you will still have to pay a co-payment.

By hourly rate

Competitive and transparent

At our law firm, we want to offer fair prices for our services. The fee we charge depends on what type of case it is (consulting, mediation, or litigation) and the specific area of law. During our initial consultation, we determine the fee for your case. We calculate our fees based on how many hours our attorney works on your case, multiplied by the agreed upon hourly rate. Sometimes we require upfront payments to cover costs.

It is often difficult to predict in advance exactly how much a case will cost. This is because the outcome depends on the parties involved and how a judge judges the case, which can sometimes be difficult to predict.

Nevertheless, we try to clarify in advance the final hourly rate. In determining this rate, we take several things into account, such as how complicated the case is, whether there is a rush, how much experience the attorney has, what he or she specializes in, and the results of similar cases. We want to charge a fair price so that you have a clear understanding of what the costs are and there are no surprises during the process.

Fixed price agreement

No worries about unforeseen costs

Sometimes we can agree on an "all-in-one fee" for your case. This means that the lawyer will agree a fixed amount with you for all work on your case. That way, you know in advance exactly what the costs will be and we avoid unexpected surprises.

During our initial meeting at our office, we will discuss whether this option is appropriate for your case and what terms will apply. The final fee will be agreed with you in advance. Here we take into account several things, such as the nature and scope of the case, its importance, whether it is urgent, the experience and specialization of the lawyer, and what you can expect. In this way we strive for fair and clear prices, so that you are well informed of the costs and do not encounter unpleasant surprises during the legal process.
