View, modify or delete data
You have the right to view, correct or delete your personal data. In this copy, black out your passport photo, MRZ (machine readable zone, the strip of numbers at the bottom of the passport), passport number and Citizen Service Number (BSN). This is to protect your privacy. We will respond to your request as soon as possible, but within four weeks. Law Office Der Bedrosian would also like to inform you that you have the possibility to file a complaint with the national supervisory authority, the Authority for Personal Data.

How we secure personal data
Law Office Der Bedrosian takes the protection of your data seriously and takes appropriate measures to prevent abuse, loss, unauthorized access, unwanted disclosure and unauthorized modification. If you have the impression that your data is not properly secured or there are indications of abuse, please contact our customer service or at thomas@derbedrosian.nl.
Personal data incident notification (data breach)
A data breach occurs when there is a breach of personal data security. It involves access to - or destruction, modification or release of personal data without the intention. Thus, a data breach includes not only the release (leakage) of data, but also the unlawful processing of data. In a data breach, personal data is exposed to loss or unlawful processing - that is, to that which the security measures should have protected against. The severity of a data breach depends on:
- the extent of the leak (the number of people involved and/or number of data);
- the nature of the data involved (an age is normally less serious than, say, a BSN number, a photograph or health data);
- the likelihood that a leak will actually result in damage (leaving an unsecured USB stick on a train is more serious than accidentally dropping a secured USB stick over the edge of a ferry).
A data leak must be reported by our office to the Personal Data Authority in certain cases. This is the case when the leak leads or may lead to a significant (chance of) serious adverse consequences for the protection of personal data. In addition, the data leak must also be reported to the data subject if it is likely to have adverse effects on his or her privacy.
