It is important to note that, as of January 1, 2022, the conditions for a residence permit for highly skilled migrants will differ based on age and income. If you are younger than 30, a salary threshold of \u20ac2,543 per month applies during the first three years after graduation, which amounts to a gross annual salary of \u20ac30,516. If you are 30 years of age or older, you must have a gross monthly salary of \u20ac4,840, which corresponds to a gross annual salary of at least \u20ac58,080 per year.<\/p>

      There are a number of steps you need to take to eventually get your residence permit. We have listed these steps below.<\/p>

      • What documents do you send along<\/b><\/span>:<\/b> Check which documents are needed and collect them before the educational institution submits the application. Make sure official foreign documents are legalized and translated into Dutch to avoid any delays.<\/li>
      • Submit application:<\/strong>\u00a0You submit the application for your residence permit to the Immigration and Naturalization Service (IND).<\/li>
      • Payment:<\/strong>\u00a0You pay the usual application fee for a residence permit as a highly skilled migrant. This costs \u20ac350.<\/li>
      • IND Decision:<\/strong>\u00a0the IND has 90 days to make a decision. In some cases, the decision may take longer, for example, if the application is not complete.
