Definitions.<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-d27227f color-scheme-inherit text-left elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"d27227f\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>In this office complaint procedure, the following terms shall have the following meanings:<\/p><ul><li><em>complaint:<\/em> Any written expression of dissatisfaction by or on behalf of the client toward the attorney at law or the persons working under his responsibility regarding the conclusion and execution of a contract for services, the quality of services or the amount of the fee, not being a complaint as referred to in Section 4 of the Lawyers Act;<\/li><li><em>complainant:<\/em> the client or client's representative making a complaint;<\/li><li><em>complaint officer: <\/em>the attorney charged with handling the complaint;<\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-70b7edf elementor-widget elementor-widget-spacer\" data-id=\"70b7edf\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"spacer.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-spacer\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-spacer-inner\"><\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-a3ba184 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"a3ba184\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h3 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Article 2 - Objectives.\n<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-4d34abc color-scheme-inherit text-left elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"4d34abc\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>The purpose of this office complaint policy is to:<\/p><ol style=\"list-style: upper-alpha;\"><li>Establishing a procedure to deal constructively with client complaints within a reasonable period of time;<\/li><li>Establishing a procedure to determine the causes of client complaints;<\/li><li>Maintain and enhance existing relationships through proper complaint handling;<\/li><li>train employees in client-centered response to complaints;<\/li><li>Improving service quality with complaint handling and complaint analysis.<\/li><\/ol>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-f0b23b2 elementor-widget elementor-widget-spacer\" data-id=\"f0b23b2\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"spacer.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-spacer\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-spacer-inner\"><\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-19a1f20 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"19a1f20\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h3 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Article 4 - Information at the start of service provision\n<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-2ceb748 color-scheme-inherit text-left elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"2ceb748\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<ol><li>This office complaint procedure has been made public. Before entering into the contract for services, the attorney shall inform the client that the attorney has an office complaint procedure and that it applies to the services provided.<\/li><li>The lawyer has included in the engagement agreement through the general terms and conditions the independent party or body to which a complaint that is not resolved after treatment can be submitted to obtain a binding decision and has made this known in the engagement confirmation.<\/li><li>Complaints referred to in Article 1 of these office complaint regulations that are not resolved after treatment shall be submitted to binding opinion.<\/li><\/ol>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-002676c elementor-widget elementor-widget-spacer\" data-id=\"002676c\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"spacer.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-spacer\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-spacer-inner\"><\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-9c62260 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"9c62260\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h3 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Article 5 - Internal complaint procedure<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-f8daacc color-scheme-inherit text-left elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"f8daacc\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<ol><li>If a client approaches the attorney with a complaint, the complaint will be directed to another attorney within the firm, who thereby acts as the complaint officer. If there is no such person, Thomas Der Bedrosian will function as complaints officer.<\/li><li>The complaint officer shall notify the person complained about of the filing of the complaint and give the complainant and the person complained about an opportunity to explain the complaint.<\/li><li>The person about whom a complaint has been made tries to reach a solution together with the client whether or not after the intervention of the complaints officer.<\/li><li>The complaints officer shall settle the complaint within four weeks of receiving the complaint or shall notify the complainant of any deviation from this deadline with reasons, stating the period within which an opinion on the complaint will be given.<\/li><li>The complaint officer shall notify the complainant and the person complained about in writing of the verdict on the merits of the complaint, whether or not accompanied by recommendations.<\/li><li>If the complaint is settled satisfactorily, the complainant, the complaint officer and the person complained about sign the judgment on the merits of the complaint.<\/li><\/ol>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-9833dad elementor-widget elementor-widget-spacer\" data-id=\"9833dad\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"spacer.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-spacer\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-spacer-inner\"><\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-629c851 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"629c851\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h3 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Article 6 - Confidentiality and cost-free complaint handling<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-64fb9ad color-scheme-inherit text-left elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"64fb9ad\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<ol><li>The complaints officer and the person complained about shall observe confidentiality in handling the complaint.<\/li><li>The complainant shall not be liable for the cost of handling the complaint.<\/li><\/ol>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-a4386c7 elementor-widget elementor-widget-spacer\" data-id=\"a4386c7\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"spacer.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-spacer\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-spacer-inner\"><\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-42c7e68 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"42c7e68\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h3 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Article 7 -
